Should I be using Coconut Oil on my Face?

June 24, 2018

I feel the need to write about Coconut oil being used on your Face. I have been doing lots of events lately. Doing Skin consultations. Many people are not happy with how there skin looks and feels. If you are using this ingredient because you read in a blog or website that does great marketing this wonder product is great for your face continuing reading.

Finding a lot of people are still using Coconut oil and skin care product's with that ingredient in it. Yes it smells good and the texture feels good. There is reasons why I do not recommend this to be used on your face.

Due to me being trained in Aesthetics for 20 years now I always want to help clients achieve results with there skin issues. This led me to do lots of research and studying. In 2008 I studied in a Laboratory in France with some of the leading Chemists in the world. From that I learned what ingredients are moderately comedogenic, non comedogenic and highly comedogenic which ingredients should not be used in Skincare products.

Coconut oil is one of the most highly comedogenic ingredients meaning it clogs the pores. It is less like a pure plant oil and acts more like a wax on the skin. Sounds good but it is not. It sits on top of the skin, leading to clogged pores, breakouts with out proper absorption. It can even cause extreme dryness due to the composition of this oil.

There are many other plant oils that have the skin clearer, hydrated and healthy. Message me for more information for your Skin care needs.

Your Skin is the largest Organ in the body, it is important what you put on it!
